The pitchers I like — and don’t:

Must start
If you have them, go with Max Scherzer, Jon Lester, Yovani Gallardo, Alex Cobb, Alexi Ogando, Shelby Miller and Tim Hudson.

Good start
Matt Cain is dropped from Must Start, but I’m sticking with him. … I like Wandy vs. the Mets. … Tony Cingrini is worth a look against the Brew Crew. … Jeff Samardzija and Ross Detwiler both have losing records. I’d go with either today. … Dan Straily is a good bet. … So is his opponent, Hisashi Iwakuma. … Jason Hammel has a very nice matchup vs. the Twins. … Ride the Phil Hughes train.

Neutral
Jose Fernandez vs. Matt Magill. Pass. … Along those same lines, Cloyd-Kennedy? Nah. … Edison Volquez and Jon Garland have potential, but I’m looking elsewhere unless I feel lucky. … Out of anyone here, I’d give Shaun Marcum a shot. … The Indians are hot, but I’d stay away from Corey Kluber. … I think the O’s beat the Twins, so I’ll leave Mike Pelfrey alone. … Wade Davis is one of those guys you pass on and he has a good start. Not sure that happens vs. the Yanks. … Angels are struggling, so I won’t look too long at Tommy Hanson. … Dylan Axelrod is interesting, but he is winless.

Avoid
I’m not even thinking about Ramon Ortiz. … Same goes for the Astros’ Dallas┬áKeuchel.
