Erie SeaWolves outfielder Daniel Fields has been activated from the disabled list. He has been out since leaving Erie’s game on June 22 at Binghamton. Fields took a pitch off his wrist that deflected and hit him in the chin. He was then sent to the hospital to get a cut stitched up and was later placed on the disabled list with concussion-like symptoms. There was no corresponding move necessary after Erie lost second baseman Hernan Perez to the Detroit Tigers. To make room for Fields, Michael Hernandez was released. Hernandez went 5-for-25 (.200) in seven games with the SeaWolves, including one home run and three RBIs.
