Here’s who I like — and don’t:

Must start
Nice showdowns that I love: Jake Westbrook vs. Tony Cingrani, Pat Corbin vs. Jake Peavy, and Jorge De La Rosa vs. Francisco Liriano. I’d go with any of them. .. I also like David Price going against the Giants and Jered Weaver against the Jays.  … I’d start Matt Garza and Max Scherzer without hesitation, too.

Good start
Hey, I’m starting to come around on Bruce Chen. Plus, he faces the Mets. … Ivan Nova should be OK in a pitcher’s park. … There’s a nice pitching matchup in Miami, too: Zach McAllister vs. Jacob Turner. The Tribe should bounce back, but Turner has some skills, even though he might not get a win. … Jarrod Parker seems to be a streamer’s delight. I bump his stock today, even against the Rangers.

Neutral
Nothing special about Scott Feldman, but he gets sleeper status since he faces the Mariners. … The Yanks seem to be struggling, so Tyson Ross could be worth a flier. … Can’t bring myself to recommend Duane Hand. … I still think you need to be leery of Tim Lincecum after that 148-pitch no-hitter. … Esmil Rogers is decent, but I’m not convinced the Jays do much against Weaver. … If Jeff Samardzija faced a different team, I might be willing to bump him up. On the bright side if you’re considering him, the Cubs do face Chris Capuano. … Braves could pound John Lannan, so I’m leery. … Carlos Torres could be an ultra-deep sleeper, otherwise I’d pass.

Avoid
I can’t endorse starting a 2-8 John Danks. … I’m pretty much done with Dan Haren this season, not that I had him on any of my teams. … The Dodgers have turned things around, but I’m still staying away from Chris Capuano at nearly every opportunity. … Same goes for Erik Bedard. … Still waiting to see more from Brandon Beachy. … Maybe Kyle Gibson lowers his 6-plus ERA against the Astros, but I won’t start him to find out. … Erasmo Ramirez has a 7.71 ERA. Nah.
