Erie SeaWolves Player of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Erie SeaWolves Player of the week on the upper right corner. The poll will last until 4 p.m. Friday each week with the winner being featured in Sunday’s paper. Fans are free to nominate their favorite SeaWolves player each week by sending an e-mail to tom.reisenweber@timesnews.com by 5 p.m. on Saturday night.

Eugenio Suarez – Went 2-for-2 with two walks, two runs and two RBIs, including his eighth home run of the season, a 9-7 win over Bowie. He also drove in two runs and had a double in a 9-1 win over Reading. Suarez also had three hits, two runs scored and drove in two runs in a 7-6 loss to Reading.
Tyler Collins – Crushed his 17th home run of the season in a 9-7 win over Bowie. He also had two doubles in a 9-1 win over Reading. Collins also had two hits in a 7-6 loss to Reading.
Daniel Fields – Had two hits and drove in three runs in a 9-7 win over Bowie. He also had two hits and scored a run in a 7-6 loss to Reading.
James McCann – Finished with two hits and scored two runs in a 9-7 win over Bowie. He also had two hits and drove in one run in a 6-4 loss to New Britain.
Wade Gaynor – Had two hits in a 9-7 win over Bowie. He also had two hits, two runs scored and drove in three runs in a 9-1 win over Reading. Gaynor also drove in two runs and scored twice, including his ninth homer, in an 11-5 loss to Reading. He also had two hits and drove in one run in a 9-6 loss to New Britain.
David Kopp – Allowed just one run in 1 2/3 innings in a 9-7 win over Bowie.
Melvin Mercedes – With the bases loaded and two outs, Mercedes came in to retire one of the top home run hitters in the league to close out a 9-7 win over Bowie. He also threw a scoreless innings in a 9-1 win over Reading. Mercedes also threw one scoreless relief inning in a 2-0 win over Reading.
Jamie Johnson – Scored on a wild pitch to give the SeaWolves a 3-2 walk-off win over Bowie. He also drew three walks and had a double in a 9-1 win over Reading. Johnson then had two hits and drove in a run in an 11-5 loss to Reading. He also had three hits in a 7-6 loss to Reading.
Ryan Robowski – Threw two scoreless relief innings to pick up the win in a 3-2 win over Bowie. He also threw one scoreless relief inning in a 2-0 win over Reading.
Marcus Lemon – Had three hits and scored twice in a 9-1 win over Reading. He also had two hits and scored twice in a 7-6 loss to Reading.
Victor Larez – Allowed just one run on two hits in six innings to get his seventh win of the season in a 9-1 win over Reading.
Tyler Stohr – Threw 1 2/3 scoreless relief innings in an 11-5 loss to Reading.
Kelvin Perez – Struck out four and allowed four hits in seven shutout innings in a 2-0 win over Reading.
