FerrandoOne of the nicest honors I’ve had this year was visiting the home of Bob and Carole Ferrando. The 5,000-square-foot home and 17-acres of property that skirts along Lake Erie is impressive, and the owners are delightful.

My visit with the Ferrandos was a nice behind-the-scenes look at an Erie car family’s day-to-day lifestyle. Thanks to Realtor Karen Euliano for the opportunity.

The Ferrandos built their home, carriage house and multiple seating areas along the bluff and beach in 1993, but it all looks brand new. It’s listed at $1.5 million, and it’s got that feeling of home in every square inch of it.

We have plenty of great features in House to Home – it came out yesterday, and I’m late to the party due to modem problems at home, but we are all fixed now, thanks to Time-Warner.

Check out garden news from Sue Scholz right here. And Meadville decorator Marie Felz gives us ideas on how to add a little luxe to rooms without spending a lot of money. Read it all here.

Open houses are easier to log onto than ever. Click right here for the full listing. We update every Thursday.
