Today’s the day Reeds Jewelers will be hosting the Reeds Jewelers Amazing Ring Race. The one-day treasure hunt gives hundreds of local couples clues sent directly to their cell phones to win a $10,000 diamond engagement ring.
The fun starts in Perry Square at 11 a.m. Participants are already selected, but you can go watch the hoopla and it’s all done with SCVNGR. Here is a link to Dana Massing’s story — follow the fun on goerie.com.
According to a news release from Reeds, SCVNGR was founded in 2008 by a 19-year-old Princeton dropout. SCVNGR has grown into a mobile gaming company with partners in more than 12,000 locations. SCVNGR is played by completing challenges from your cell phone at different locations to earn points that can be redeemed for real world rewards. SCVNGR is funded by Google Ventures, Highland Capital Partners and Balderton Capita.
Good luck to all the participants!
