From the time of Eve in the Garden of Eden, women have made history. Closer to home, my mother, Arlene Menold Strosser and my grandmother, Bonita Jennings Strosser are my history. My Methodist mother disobeyed her family’s religious rules (which seem archaic but date back to the 1930s) when she dated and married my dad, a Catholic. My grandmother and her family came over on a boat from Ireland in the 1800s.
We have all made journeys, and our March issue of Her Times is dedicated to women and their journeys — starting with Susan McChesney who shares a very difficult journey to sobriety — an important read for all women. Read her story here.
Here’s a link to the extraordinary people who shared their journeys with us in Her Times. And here are some more inspiring tales — accumulated when I asked folks on Facebook to tell us about their journeys. I know all these women personally — and terrific Doug Stratton — thanks for sharing everyone.
