House lady: Luxury at The Hammocks breaks ground

The HammocksLuxury apartment living is coming to Millcreek, and soon.

The Hammocks broke ground today on Old Zuck Road in Millcreek at 10:30 a.m. with the Kearsarge Volunteer Fire Department on site to greet everyone who attended.

The Hammocks at Millcreek will include one-, two- and three- bedroom apartments in a four-story building — the first of nine apartment buildings. A clubhouse is also be part of the plan, and it includes a fitness center, business center, great room, theater room, pool and fire pit area.

The Riedman Development Corporation, headquartered in Rochester, NY., has built similar developments throughout New York State, and  has decades of experience in developing, building, and managing residential communities.

In discussions with Dayle Cotter, the resident manager, Christine Yamrick and I learned the clubhouse be open first — by December — and the first building will open and in spring of 2014.

Rents range from $815 per month for a one bedroom to $1,315 for a three-bedroom unit. Three people have already made deposits on units. Cotter will be meeting with customers regularly. She is a native of Orchard Park, N.Y., where she and her husband live in The Hammocks facility.

For more information on the units, click here to visit the website.
