Cosmetics for men? You bet.

ManupMan Up, www.manuptoday.ca,  is an organic skincare company that offers what men want, thanks to founder Andrew Grella. In a story at beautypress.com, he talked about how his mom turned a prom date disaster acne attack into an easy lesson in camouflage. It made him ask why none of the products in mom’s makeup bag are made specifically for men.The Toronto company is just getting started. The website didn’t work for me, but maybe you’ll have better luck. Here’s the facebook link. https://www.facebook.com/manuptoday. CAUTION: don’t try a web search — you will find some triple x-rated products. You can read up on it on twitter https://twitter.com/Manup_Products.

You gotta love “the one holiday at a time” philosophy at Nordstrom. The company’s Facebook page lit up again with delighted fans this year when Nordstrom announced that it will continue the practice of celebrating Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Nordstrom promises no Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving.

I kind of liked hearing holiday music this week, but I respect Nordstrom, which is running its semi-annual sale and offers some pencil skirts I like for $20 and up.

It’s the most wonderful time of year to shop, but even if it weren’t , I have to admit I like shopping online, getting my size, and my package on the front steps, and sending it back if I don’t like it. And all that shipping is free at a lot of websites. What’s not to love at Nordstrom? Bargains, style and free shipping. I don’t even know where there is a Nordstrom store, but I do know this: I like the dresses, shoes and other items and when the doorbell rings,  it’s hallelujah, come to mama!
I thought this store and Saks were way out of my league, but click on the Saks link I provided, and get some deals — in addition to free shipping.
This year, according to ecommerce.com, free shipping is one of consumers’ favorite deals and nearly 9 out of 10 retailers plan to offer it. Join me and tell me about your deals!
