Chne titelI found a lot of styles for spring that are rocking geometric patterns. And metallics and a lot of other things I probably won’t wear. But I would if I were younger. This top at left from Intermix online showed up in some designer clothing ideas in InStyle. It’s way out of my price range at $395, but I like the style. And I love that it’s a peplum. I just bought a very peplum for under $20 at Dots last week. Spring is in the air, and it’s going to be 50 today. That’s today, of course.

I do like some of the patterns — kind of takes me back to the 70s — “Mad Men” brings a lot of it back. Here’s a look at Accessory Agenda’s fun and fab geometric dresses. I swear I wore some of them.

Have a great Fashion Friday.

gabby-douglasFashion statements are red this month — and today’s Valentine’s Day mantra might be “buy something red.” Take a look at the red dresses rocking the runway during The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Fashion Show 2013 right here. The New York Daily News covers it in style with 27 fabulous fashion ideas modeled by everyone from Gold-medal Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas – pictured above — to Kelly Osbourne.

Today is the perfect day to buy a little red dress. Here’s a link to the terrific selection at Macy’s – for teens to women in styles for career, casual and glamorous evening wear.

Here’s a link to JCPenney’s red dresses – one adorable peplum number from Bisou Bisou is only $35 — how can we choose just one?

Happy Valentine’s Day.

IridescentMy friends at InStyle magazine are booking some shimmery beauty into their latest issues. Michelle DockeryLady Mary Crawley on “Downton Abbey,” rocks the glitz and glam in a photo shoot. The photo at left is from InStyle.

This year promises some sparking style with a big dose of shine — it’s been around for a while, and it’s not going anywhere — so keep those sparkling duds handy.

At Huffington Post, the fashionistas are into shine and much more. They suggest black and white will stay on the runway and peplum is peppering our styles as are ruffles, stripes, exposed lingerie, (not for this girl), big jewelry and lower heels. Lower heels? Again — not on this girl.

Shine on, ladies!
