Feast your eyes on sweet-and-sour cucumber salad

This salad recipe, from purewow.com, looks as cool as a cucumber, and I've been craving it as summer flies by.

You know how people, usually women, like to lie down with slices of cucumber on their eyes? Well, besides the obvious relaxation benefits of lying down, cukes contain two kinds of acid that draw moisture out of the skin, reducing puffiness and soreness, according to www.wisegeek.org.
If the slices are cold, they also help reduce inflammation in general, like applying ice packs after a tough workout.
Just writing this makes me want to go home and do it, but that would have to take place after I make this Cucumber Salad.
It promises a refreshing treat on the hottest day of the year, and early gardeners are picking cukes already. I’ve seen locally grown ones in grocery stores and farm stands.
I’m going to pick some up soon for the salad, and save some slices, so after dinner I can call dibs on the recliner.
