Project for Tomorrow

The wet weather  this summer is delaying me on some of the outdoor projects I have to get done before winter sets in.  I see a window of opportunity the next 3 days according to the weather forecast. The problem is “they” will forecast rain so you put off painting because you don’t want it ruined…..and then it doesn’t rain.  Or “they” don’t forecast rain and you paint and then a thunderstorms comes rolling in.  It must be very difficult to forecast the weather in this part of the country.

My intention tomorrow is to sand the front steps of their paint and varnish and get them ready for a new stain coat on the unpainted part followed by a couple of coats of exterior varnish.  Then I’ll paint the treads.  With drying time in this humid time of year, I’ll need 3 days. Let’s hope the forecast lasts.
