Sticker shock

In a previous post I mentioned my monthly grocery spending was creeping over $450. It’s worse than I thought.

I took some time to figure out the exact amount I spent in grocery items since January and I was shocked! The average spent/month in January – April was $525.52…with one particular month reaching over $600!! I realized prices were rising but didn’t realize the  impact the price changes had on my monthly spending. I fear getting back down to $350 is going to be a little tougher than I thought.

My goal requires me to shave $175 off my average. I’m on the right track. My grocery spending so far this month: $125.85. Now, I just have to keep it up!
