Follow our contestants on this 12-week, life changing challenge. Beginning July 13, seven contestants will meet with Flab to Fab's certified personal trainers for one hour, three times per week, receive a customized fitness program, and have unlimited access to utilize Flab to Fab's fitness facility, for a period of 12 weeks. Lisa: I see confidence growing

I read the blogs of the contestants and my mind and my heart go in so many directions.  I wish I could tell them the world isn’t so bad and that if they just keep their chin up everything will be ok, but I can’t lie.  The world is not always a pleasant place.

We have  freedom of speech, but what about right and wrong?  Is it really ok to hurt someone else’s feelings by being verbally abusive?   Sometimes those closest to us are the ones contributing to the problem.  These women are trying to make life altering changes.  Are you following their journey and trying to make changes also?  Instead of ordering pizza, try making a salad as a family and talking together, play a game of cards or a board game, put the remote down, take the mouse out of your hand, you never know, you might enjoy the evening as well.  Instead of dinner and a movie (and popcorn) on date night, a walk on the beach to watch the sunset.  Talk about your day, share your dreams for the future……

The fun we have in the gym is priceless, I see not only physical changes, but I see confidence growing, and smiles getting bigger.They are losing inches and pounds, but gaining so much more.

There are many reasons people turn to food, none of which are usually good.  I want my contestants, members and future members to know that there is someone who cares, and it’s me and my staff!!!!!

    Great week, Lisa. I’m putting a link to a weight loss forum that I discovered recently. I’m a member and I find there is a lot of great information available on it. The biggest thing, however, is the great sense of support and accomplishment you get from all the members. I generally go in the “100 pound club” thread because it seems like it’s the most active and supportive. I think anyone who is trying to lose weight would benefit. I’m posting this in your blog entry instead of one or all of the others because it’s easier this way. I think you will find it an interesting site.

    Maybe some of the others will find it helpful.

    Let’s see….Amplified 100% Whey protein, Dole Real Fruit Bites with yogurt and whole grain (80 calories), whole grain Fig Newtons, Ocean Spray Craisins, Special K cereal, Nature’s Delite Premium Basmati rice (15lb. bag), a hearty slab of fresh salmon weekly, not to mention plums, grapefruit, bananas, oranges, grapes, carrots, celery and a garden full of fresh tomatoes and onions and cucumbers…and then of course clothes. Losing weight requires new clothes.Why would anyone care if other family members who are footing this bill splurge on themselves ONCE IN A WHILE? It depends on who tells the story. As far as walks on the beach? MANY. Also, the mountains to add. Oh, and tons of conversations where YOU CAN DO IT fill each day since this contest began. Again, it depends on who tells the story. There is always the other side of the coin. Shouldn’t you be commenting on helpful hints for those who WOULD APPRECIATE the real help who didn’t get chosen?
