Voting ends Wednesday in Erie’s UChoose Grants competition

Have a favorite cause? How about a favorite local nonprofit organization? Well, it’s time to rock the vote.

Luckily for you, it’s as simple as a few clicks.

Voting for the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority’s (ECGRA) UChoose Grants for Erie County nonprofit organizations ends Wednesday at noon.

The competition is divided into three funding levels: $5,000, $10,000 and $15,000. One winner will be chosen at each level.

The ECRRA’s UChoose Grants is modeled after the Pepsi Refresh Project, which awarded $250,000 to the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation.

All participating nonprofits in the UChoose Grants competition are based in Erie County.

As the ECGRA says on its website:

UChoose Grants is designed to educate, enlighten, and embolden community members while providing ECGRA with a significantly larger, more diverse, wide-ranging pool of funding prospects.

Winning organizations will receive their grants at a media event on Thursday.

So cast your vote before it’s too late.
