Here's an Acorn Squash Soup that squash haters will love.

Here’s an Acorn Squash Soup that squash haters will love.

Some people just don’t get squash. They think it’s boring, bland and too darned healthy.
Those people need to try this Acorn Squash Soup, stolen from Guy Fieri on the Food Network..
It has body, it’s creamy, it’s savory and, most importantly, it’s nice and spicy. It’s just plain addictive.
For example, I just finished my third bowl.
I saw about a dozen other recipes for Acorn Squash Soup that succeed in showcasing just how boring, bland and too darned healthy squash can taste. But Fieri trumps them all, adding layer upon layer of flavor from shallots and roast garlic, cayenne, white pepper, sage, savory and Worchestershire. Parmesan doesn’t hurt either.
One guy told me today that he doesn’t like squash, and he loved this soup. So, squash lovers, unite. Get up, stand up for our favorite fall harvest produce. Isolate the haters and invite them to sit down with a bowl and spoon and an open mind.
