Janet Anderson to officially announce State Senate run

Republican Janet Anderson, the former executive director of the Northwest Regional Planning and Development Commission, will officially announce her candidacy for Pennsylvania Senate at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Intermodal Transportation Center, 209 E. Bayfront Parkway, according to information Anderson posted on her Facebook page.
Anderson is among six Democrats and two Republicans seeking the 49th District seat, currently held by Republican Jane Earll of Fairview Township. Earll decided against seeking re-election.
