Santorum leading Romney in latest Pa. poll

Rick Santorum, bounced by Pennsylvania voters in his bid for re-election to the U.S. Senate in 2006, is enjoying a resurgence in his home state.

Santorum is leading Mitt Romney among Republicans, 45 to 16 percent, in the latest Franklin & Marshall College Poll of Pennsylvania voters. The poll was released today.

Santorum also has closed a potential November match-up with President Barack Obama to under 10 points. The poll shows Obama with 45 percent of the vote, Santorum with 37 percent, 7 percent for other candidates, and 12 precent undecided.

One month ago, the poll showed Obama with 43 percent and Santorum with 30 percent.

The  April 24 Pennsylvania primary could be interesting.

Who do you think will win the primary?

One wonders why Rick Santorum is doing so well, or is it because Mitt Romney is so weak and the press refuses to talk about Ron Paul. Santorum is a big government Conservative who would replace the leftist Obama (I dictate what you do) with his own dictatorial urges. He is a big interventionist, crony-capitalist, Savonarola/Torquemadaesque individual who appears to be out of touch with even the 17th Century, let alone the 21st. Hopefully the GOP electorate will recognise the wisdom in Dr. Paul’s positions before it is too late and we end up with Santorum as the parties standard bearer.
    Cut Spending,NOW!.
    Sound money, NOW!
Ending Military Adventurism and lack of Declarations of War, Now!
    Ending the Drug War, Now!
    Constitutional government, NOW!
It should be Paul and Liberty vs. Santorm, Romney, Gingrich for more governmental power.
