There are more than four months until the Nov. 6 election, but the two Erie County candidates for state Senate in the 49th District are in full campaign mode.
Today, Democrat Sean Wiley will speak at 12:30 p.m. before the Erie Kiwanis Club at the Erie Maennerchor Club, 1607 State St.
And Monday night, Republican Janet Anderson was the beneficiary of a fundraiser in Erie, with Pennsylvania First Lady Sue Corbett as the featured guest.
Anderson’s website called the fundraiser a success.
Meanwhile, both candidates are enlisting women to help in their campaigns.
Anderson has assembled a “Women for Janet Coalition” to support her in the race. And a “Women for Wiley” campaign committee kickoff will be held Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Wiley’s campaign headquarters, 1314 Griswold Plaza.
