Dem Wiley endorsed by Pa. teachers union in state Senate race

Democratic state Senate candidate Sean Wiley was endorsed this afternoon by the Pennsylvania State Education Association Political Action Committee for Education, affiliated with Pennsylvania’s largest teacher’s union.
Wiley is a candidate for the 49th District seat now held by Republican State Sen. Jane Earll of Fairview Township. He squares off against the GOP nominee, Janet Anderson, in the Nov. 6 election.

Wiley pledged to “stand alongside our teachers and to work for the appropriate funding for our public schools in order to maintain and increase their current level of excellence.”
