Volunteers and community leaders working on President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign on Saturday will hold voter registration drives across Pennsylvania, including in Erie.

Volunteers will reach out to voters to talk about what’s at stake in the Nov. 6 presidential election and remind them of the importance of voting.
“The Obama campaign is committed to engaging people in the political process, talking one-on-one about the president’s accomplishments, and encouraging them to support … Obama in November — and that starts with registering to vote,” the campaign said in a statement today.
Monday is the voter registration deadline for the April 24 primary.
