nominating process.

But Rick Santorum won’t hold a primary night party in the Land of Lincoln. He’ll be in Gettysburg instead.

Hogan Gidley, Santorum’s national communications director, said that Santorum “has chosen to celebrate the evening at the very place President Lincoln gave his most poignant and passionate defense of freedom and the American spirit.”

But The Washington Post said the move suggests “his campaign is not necessarily banking on a win” in Illinois.
