Pennsylvania Senate Democrats are pressing Gov. Tom Corbett to end plans to privatize the state Lottery.
Senate Democrats released a letter that was sent to Corbett today in the wake of Thursday’s announcement by the Pennsylvania Lottery regarding record sales and revenue for the 2012-13 fiscal year.
The Lottery announced that it finished the fiscal year with $3.69 billion in sales and more than $1 billion in net revenues - above the previous year and prior all-time sales record of $3.48 billion.
Corbett has been pursuing a plan to privatize the management of the Lottery.
