Relax and Have Fun with Summer Events – Happy Father’s Day

Sunday, June 17 is Father’s Day. Best Wishes to all dad’s. If you in the vicinity take dad to Happi Jax’s in Canadohta Lake for a free ice cream sundae (or have dad drive you there if you are too young, good ice cream!).

The weather should be nice for the upcoming week, though there is a risk of rain on Father’s Day; but the temperatures should remain warm. It should be a great weather week for vegetable gardens (maybe I can get mine all planted…finally). Or just kick back and enjoy.

Strawberries are plentiful, be sure to get some at your local farm or road side stand.

Canadohta Lake

There is no Book Swap during the month of June; the swap returns the first Sunday of July.

Cottage Open House Tour was held Sunday, June 10. According to Ann Bergheim and others, it was a successful event this year with many people participating.

For more information on events at the Lake, CLABA.

The Canadohta Lake Breeze is now available, stop by any local business and be sure to get a copy. It is packed full of informative reading.

June 23 from 8 a.m.. – 5 p.m. at the Township Building is the annual Bloomfield Clean Up Day. Please no tires, paint, refrigerators or anything with freon, and no batteries; everything else can go. According to Township Secretary Marge Robatzen, some years are busier than other years during the annual clean-up. She said that last year was a little hectic during the yearly spring clean-up. The township is breathing a little easier because of the mild winter. “We saved some money because we didn’t have to plow and salt as often this past winter,” she said.

June 24 from 1 p.m. -5 p.m. Art in the Park at the Township Building Baseball Field. Also on the 24 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. is Community Fun Days at the Township Playground.
