“Hunger Games” prompts archery craze

When “101 Dalmatians” hit the movie theatres, breeders experienced a spike in demand for the spotted dogs.

Who knew that when “Hunger Games” premiered this past weekend, the aftermath would be a huge interest among kids to learn how to shoot an arrow.

Such has been the backlash of the blockbuster movie all over the country, where indoor and outdoor archery ranges now have waiting lists.

The last time archery enjoyed this much attention was following the release of “Lord of the Rings.”

It comes at a pretty good time, since archery is also an Olympic sport and if the craze continues, it will prompt more viewership than the event has ever seen.
