If you couldn’t log onto Facebook recently, here’s why

Have you heard of the hacker group called Anonymous? Actually, they call themselves hacktivists. This loosely knit group of computer hackers usually targets large enforcement agencies like the FBI and CIA, but it turned its sights on Facebook, in the wake of the social media’s recent move to go public.

Displaying the message, “RIP Facebook,” Anonymous took credit for the crash, which Facebook didn’t deny happened, but was quick to add that users were only mildly inconvenienced by the lock out.
