Gannon women lose in NCAA D-II Elite Eight quarterfinal

Gannon (31-5) saw its memorable women’s basketball season end Tuesday in a 74-63 loss to Ashland in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight women’s basketball tournament in San Antonio. Ashland improved to 35-1.

Quarterfinals results:

Augustana (S.D.) 81, Clayton State 68, final

Upset alert! Clayton State entered the game with a 32-0 record.

Dowling 60, Colorado Mesa 44, final

Former Baylor player Danielle Wilson finished with 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for Dowling.

Western Washington 80,  Nova Southeastern 76, final, overtime

Britt Harris scored 24 points and pulls down 10 rebounds to lead Western Washington.
