Former General McLane and University of Connecticut standout Blidi Wreh-Wilson was selected by the Tennessee Titans Friday with the 70th overall pick in the third round of the NFL Draft.

Read what the Titans’ website wrote about Wreh-Wilson and watch video of head coach Mike Munchak, college scout Richard Shelton and assistant secondary coach Steve Brown as they discuss the Wreh-Wilson pick.

A couple of notes about the Titans:

• Wreh-Wilson could be competing for playing time at cornerback against Tommie Campbell, who played for Edinboro University in 2007. Campbell is listed second on the depth chart at right cornerback behind Alterraun Verner, a four-year veteran from UCLA.

• A senior assistant coach of the Titans’ defense is Gregg Williams. Williams, who served as the Buffalo Bills’ head coach from 2001-03, was suspended last season after the NFL ruled that he participated in the New Orleans Saints’ bounty program.
