Behrend’s Vetica claims AMCC top golfer honor again

Penn State Behrend’s Dante Vetica, a Kennedy Catholic graduate, was named the AMCC Men’s Golfer of the Year for the second straight season.

Vetica, a junior, won his second straight AMCC championship, posting a two-day score of 144.

West Middlesex graduate Roman Klaric, a Behrend freshman, won Newcomer of the Year and was an All-AMCC second-team selection. Klaric finished fourth at the conference championship.

Fort LeBoeuf graduate Nicholas VanDamia, a Behrend sophomore, joined Vetica on the first team, while junior teammate Scott Klein (Fairview) earned All-AMCC second team honors.

Freshman Brian Ropiecki (North East) earned third-team honors.
