Several former District 10 standouts are set play in the PSAC Championship Game on Saturday when Slippery Rock (9-1) visits Bloomsburg (9-1).

A pair of Strong Vincent graduates and brothers, Kevin Green and Robert Joyce, each made contributions to Slippery Rock’s 55-21 victory over Seton Hill on Saturday. Green, a sophomore cornerback, had a season-high seven tackles, all solo. Joyce, a redshirt senior tight end, had two receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown. He has 10 catches for 169 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Meanwhile, redshirt junior defensive end Kevin Kulka, a General McLane graduate, kept alive a personal defensive streak. He had a tackle for loss for the fifth consecutive game. He now has nine tackles for 39 yards in losses this season to go with 38 overall tackles.

Kulka and The Rock’s defense will face a big challenge Saturday when it meets Bloomsburg and All-America running back Franklyn Quiteh. He has rushed for 1,756 yards this season and is the PSAC’s leading career rusher with more than 7,000 yards.

Other former D-10 players on the roster are senior defensive lineman Tony Papley, junior wide receiver Brandon Akins (Strong Vincent), freshman linebacker Josh Santillan (McDowell), freshman lineman Nathan Brest (Mercer), sophomore linebacker Mike Grata (Hickory), freshman defensive lineman Dylan Neal (Slippery Rock’s) and freshman linebacker Erik Record (Grove City).

The game will be aired live statewide on the Pennsylvania Cable Network. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. at Danny Hale Field.
