Moore’s college career ends in Duquesne’s WNIT loss

Girard grad Raegan Moore saw her outstanding senior season and Duquesne basketball career end Monday in the Dukes’ 68-52 loss to Michigan in a second-round WNIT game at Michigan’s Crisler Center.

Moore, a 6-foot 1-inch senior guard, attempted only five field goals in 31 minutes, making one and finishing with two points. She added five assists, three rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

Moore ranked second in scoring for Duquesne this season with an average of 13.8 points per game. She also averaged 4.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists and recorded 40 steals and 28 blocks.

She played her freshman season at Valparaiso in 2009-10 before transferring to Duquesne. Moore closed her career with 641 points, including 440 this season.

Her biggest highlight this season was a 35-point performance against Kent State on Nov. 14. She sank a school-record nine 3-point field goals in that game.
