Led by General McLane graduate Colin Feikles, several area baseball standouts were named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference all-star team today.

Feikles was named AMCC player of the year and made the first team.

Meanwhile, five Penn State Behrend players were selected for the all-conference team, including McDowell grad Brian Bohman, who was a first-team selection at catcher as a freshman. The Lions’ Ryan Finnegan, a sophomore third baseman, was named to the second team.  Senior pitcher Chad Zurat and sophomore outfielders John Hlavinka and Alex Margraf made the third team. Margraf is a McDowell graduate.

Meanwhile, Corry grad Aaron Cressley, a junior pitcher, made the second team for the second straight year.

He will lead La Roche into the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional in Marietta, Ohio. The No. 5-seeded RedHawks will meet No. 4 Widener in their opener Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

Bohman made a smooth transition to college ball as a freshman. He hit .361 with 48 hits, two home runs, 23 RBIs and 11 stolen bases.

Margraf hit .356 with 57 hits and 24 RBIs.

The Lions will host the ECAC Division III South Championship Tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
