Of course, that’s because the biggest part of Michigan State’s quarterback scenario is starter Connor Cook, who led the Spartans to a Big Ten championship and Rose Bowl victory last season.
In an NFL.com post Monday, Huguenin ranked the quarterback situations for each program from No. 1 (Florida State with Jameis Winston) to No. 128 (New Mexico State).
Even though Cook is MSU’s starter and star QB, Terry did get a mention from Huguenin: “Terry is a redshirt freshman who has exciting potential.”
Terry, a Cathedral Prep graduate, will battle sophomore Tyler O’Connor for the Spartans’ backup spot, but O’Connor wasn’t mentioned in the NFL.com piece.
Terry underwent surgery on his left, non-throwing shoulder in June after injuring the shoulder during the MSU spring game. He opened the scoring in the game with a 23-yard touchdown run. His availability for Michigan State’s training camp or the season opener is not known.
