    Nesting Turtles

    Turtle eggs

    The last time Michele and I were on the trails we came across several turtle eggs that were dug up by either raccoons or skunks. I find it amazing to see the turtles on PI survive with the predators that invade their nests. In todays paper there is an article about biologist Peter Lindman, professor at Edinboro University who studies the several species of turtles that are native to Presque Isle.  You will find the article here and check out the video from the GoErie Times News below.
