Keep up with Ryan Hall

Think you can’t keep up with the likes of world-class runners like Ryan Hall, Kara Goucher and Usain Bolt?

Well, you can in cyberspace. All of them are avid Twitterers, Tweeters, Twits…whatever….they’re on Twitter.

I’ve had a Twitter account for years, but never found any practical use for it because I’m more of a Facebook kind of girl.  Twitter was just too truncated for me.

Then I found out that John Cusack, my one-and-only celebrity crush (I was 14 when I fell in love with this man and first love is FOREVER, so cut me some slack, eh?) was an avid Twitter user.

Suddenly, I was all about Twitter.

After I found John, I wondered who else might I want to stalk follow?  I looked up some celebrities that are fun to follow (Charlie Sheen, Steve Martin, Ron Howard, Alyssa Milano, P!nk, David Spade, Conan O’Brien, etc.).

Last week it occurred to me that there might be famous runners who Tweet, so I went a Googling and, sure enough, there are plenty of famous runners who Tweet.

I was going to run down the list for you here, but then I found “Runners on Twitter: The Top 10 Pros You Should Be Following” and, well, hey…why duplicate efforts?

Not enough to fill your feed? Check out this list of the Top 50 Twitter Feeds for Runners.

* Do you use Twitter? I mostly find it useful for killing time. I read it, but never post.

* Anyone not on the list that you recommend stalking following?

* Who is your childhood celebrity crush?
