Hamilton’s relapse hasn’t hurt his fantasy value

Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton is one of my favorite players.

It’s good to read about redemption, so his rags-to-riches comeback story was one to marvel.

So it’s safe to say I was disappointed to hear that he had a relapse at a bar.

Hamilton has been open about battling his demons, and that continued when he spoke about his incident.

Despite my disappointment personally, I’m still bullish on drafting Hamilton in fantasy leagues this spring.

I think his primed for a big season, so much that I would have no problem selecting Hamilton in the second round of a mixed-league draft.

A season where he hits 35 home runs, drives in 110 and posts a .300 average is very possible.

I’d take that risk.
