Smyly looks forward to second season

Detroit Tigers prospect Drew Smyly, a second round pick in the 2010 amateur draft, was interviewed by milb.com about his first professional season.

Smyly, a 22-year old left-hander from the University of Arkansas, split 2011 between the Single-A Lakeland (Fla.) Flying Tigers and the Double-A Erie SeaWolves. He was named the Tigers’ minor league pitcher of the year for his effort.
