SeaWolves seek return to action

Winter weather permitting, the spring portion of the Erie SeaWolves’ schedule resumes Tuesday at Trenton.
The 6-9 SeaWolves and 8-8 Thunder open a three-game series at Waterfront Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
Erie hasn’t played since Saturday’s 4-3 victory at Bowie. Sunday’s finale of their weekend series was postponed because of heavy rain, with the SeaWolves originally scheduled off Monday.
Mark Sorensen is still scheduled to be Erie’s starting pitcher Tuesday.  Sorensen, called up from Single-A Lakeland (Fla.) to fill in for the injured Jay Voss, went 7-7 for the 2011 SeaWolves.

Binghamton infielder Josh Rodriguez and Harrisburg left-hander Danny Rosenbaum were respectively named the Eastern League’s player and pitcher of the week Monday.
