Erie beats Aeros again by repeat score
The Erie SeaWolves stroked six doubles in their latest 7-3 victory over the Akron Aeros.
Erie, which beat Akron by that same score Friday night, used those six extra-base hits amid its 11 overall to gain Saturday’s win over the Eastern League’s Western Division leaders. Niuman Romero accounted for two of them for the SeaWolves, who moved back above .500 at 24-23.
Jordan Lennerton joined Romero with a three-hit, two-RBI effort. Akron (28-18) lost despite home runs from Tim Fedroff and Adam Abraham.
