Sizemore’s rehab going slow

Bad news for Grady Sizemore.

The oft-injured center fielder for the Cleveland Indians is eligible to come off the DL, but the training staff has had Sizemore curtail some activities in his rehab of late because of soreness.

Indians manager Manny Acta had this to say about Sizemore Thursday:

“The process has been slowed down a little bit. But we’ve never had any timetable for Grady.”

The fact that Sizemore has had multiple surgeries (back,  knees, sports hernias and left elbow) over the past few seasons means the Tribe is willing to take it slow. A healthy Sizemore in the lineup surely will boost an offense and defense that will benefit from current center fielder Michael Brantley replacing the light-hitting platoon situation in left field.
