‘Wolves regroup for road trip

The Erie SeaWolves still haven’t scored a run since last Friday, but at least Monday offered them a valid reason.

Erie was off, as were all 12 Eastern League teams. The SeaWolves held a 29-32 record when they boarded a bus for Harrisburg, where they’ll open a six-game road trip Tuesday.

It’s Erie’s first regular season series against  the Senators, who are 33-29. All three games at Metro Bank Park have first pitches scheduled for 7 p.m.

Binghamton Mets outfielder Matt Den Dekker and Portland left-hander Drake Britton were respectively named the Eastern League’s latest player and pitcher of the week award winners Monday.

Den Dekker could be with the Mets when they arrive at Jerry Uht Park for a June 22-25 series against the SeaWolves.
