The Erie SeaWolves are well past the midway point in their schedule, making this week an important one heading into the brief all-star break. Erie has cut Akron’s lead in the division to eight games but Bowie and Harrisburg stand in the way as well. Erie (40-40) will wrap up its four-game series at Harrisburg with night games tonight and Tuesday. The ‘Wolves are 4-2 in its current road trip and will get six home games before the break July 10-11.
Akron (49-33) comes to Jerry Uht Park Wednesday for a three-game set before Harrisburg (41-40) is in town for three games. Bowie is also tied for second in the Western division at 41-40. On Wednesday, fans can check out post-game fireworks before Pittsburgh Pirate great Dave Parker visits Jerry Uht Park Thursday. Autographs will be available for all fans Thursday during the game.
After the break, Erie will only have six games left with Akron and three with Harrisburg this season, making the next week crucial in making up ground in the standings.
