Doubleheaders remain detrimental to the Erie SeaWolves’ overall won-loss record.
The SeaWolves slumped to 4-15 in twice-a-day games when Bowie beat them 5-3 and 6-0 Tuesday night at Prince George’s Stadium.
The sweep left Erie 53-68, last in the Eastern League’s Western Division. The Baysox, second in the division, enhanced their bid to claim its wild-card playoff berth at 64-58.

Bowie pitcher Dylan Bundy was the winner in Tuesday’s opener. Bundy allowed all of Erie’s runs in his Double-A debut, but the Baltimore Orioles’ touted prospect still got the victory with 5 1/3 innings of work.
Brandon Douglas, Jordan Lennerton and Daniel Fields all doubled and scored for the SeaWolves, who had even less success in Tuesday’s second game.
Bowie pitchers Timothy Bascom and Clay Schrader blanked Erie on three hits, with Avisail Garcia recording two of them. Ty Kelly drove in four of the Baysox’s runs.
The doubleheader was needed because of the teams’ April 22 rain out in Maryland.
