Lough lines single in K.C. victory

Former Mercyhurst University player David Lough singled for the Kansas City Royals during Friday’s 6-3 victory over the Cleveland Indians at Kauffman Stadium.

Lough also reached base when he was hit by a pitch from Cleveland reliever Scott Maine. The incident led to the home plate umpire warning each dugout.

Friday’s 1-for-3 effort left Lough’s batting average at .243 for Kansas City, which is now 69-81.
