Baseball’s free-agency period closes in

Now that the World Series is over — Sorry, Tigers fans – it’s time for the free-agency period to begin later this week.

Hot-stove talk always warms the hearts of fans itching for baseball during the offseason.

The Indians will be parting ways with Casey Kotchman and Grady Sizemore (Travis Hafner and Roberto Hernandez will be gone, too), and the Pirates likely lose a trio of pitchers (Kevin Correia, Jason Grilli and Chad Qualls). It will be interesting to see how much each franchise decides to spend and which positions they target for upgrades.

Check out the list of available free agents (and those players with options) here.
