Dodgers won’t be afraid to spend in free agency

Last year, the Los Angeles Dodgers didn’t do much in free agency.

Don’t think super agent Scott Boras didn’t notice.

He described the Dodgers as shopping in the “fruits-and-nuts section” of free agents — meaning the cheap parts.

This year? Boras has a different take.

“I think they bought the store,” he said.

With new ownership, the Dodgers can spend.

Some even expect them to have a payroll higher than the Yankees when all is done.

Whether that’s true or not, I’d expect the Dodgers to at least add a front-line pitcher to pair with Clayton Kershaw.

One name that could be in Dodger blue is Zack Greinke.

That alone would be one heck of a rotation.
