Report: Binghamton’s move to Ottawa not a done deal
An earlier report about the Binghamton Mets’ move to Ottawa might not happen after all.
On Nov. 21, Baseball America reported that the Mets were moving north of the border as soon as 2014.
Today, espn.com says the sale appears to have fallen through.
If the B-Mets’ move does take place, Binghamton hopes to land a New York-Penn franchise. Baseball America said in its report Binghamton officials have inquired about the Batavia franchise.
We’ll see how it all plays out.
