Carlos Garcia to manage Altoona

Former Pittsburgh Pirates all-star Carlos Garcia is the new manager of the Altoona Curve. He is the seventh manage in team history. Garcia, 45, managed the High-A Bradenton Marauders over the past two seasons and is the second former Pirate to manage the curve. Dale Sveum also managed the Curve from 2001-03.
