The Cleveland Indians announced Saturday night that they signed Jason Giambi to a minor league contract with a non-roster invitation to the team’s major league camp.

Giambi, 42, had 89 at-bats with the Colorado Rockies last season. Giambi hit .225 with one home run and eight RBIs.

It’s a minor league contract, so there’s not much risk involved. I’m just not sure how much Giambi has left.
