Another rough outing for Rondon

Former Erie SeaWolves closer Bruce Rondon is in line to close for the Detroit Tigers this year. It’s just not going well through the first two weeks of spring training. Rondon was drilled for two runs, including a home run, in a 6-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves on Sunday in his latest rough outing. In 3 2/3 innings this spring, Rondon has allowed five hits, five walks, six strikeouts and has allowed three runs for a 7.36 ERA. According to Detroit News columnist Lynn Henning, Rondon might only have one more week or so to straighten out before the Tigers scramble for another closer.
